Richard W. Rozensky, DDS
Dr. Richard Rozensky is a native of Amherst New York a suburb of Buffalo. The doctor first attended the University at Buffalo State University of New York and earned a Bachelor of Arts in History. After graduating from the university the doctor sought additional academic challenges at the State University College at Buffalo (Buff State) and earned a Bachelor of Science in Geoscience, cum laude. Recognized by the dean as a leader he was nominated and attended a "Future Leaders" symposium sponsored by Rich Products. After Buff State the doctor attended and graduated from The University at Buffalo State University of New York School of Dental Medicine. While at the School of Dental Medicine he persued a minor in periodontology, volunteered at The Facial Pain Center at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, and participated in fibromyalgia research at Shands Hospital. In addition he attended a an advanced program in esthetic dentistry taught by Frederick M. McIntyre, D.D.S. of the American Academy of Comestic Dentistry and an editorial board review member of their journal. Upon attaining his Doctorate of Dental Surgery he joined the United States Air Force and honed his skills at various United States Air Force dental clinics. While stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base Dr. Rozensky was responsible for teaching a course in dental bonding agents to the residents attending the advanced education in general dentistry residency. In 2001 he was the 2nd Dental Squadron Company Grade Officer of the Year. Since 2003 he has been practicing at Mulberry Dental in The Villages. In 2004 he teamed up with Don Ilkka, DDS and together they opened Southern Trace Dental, Laurel Manor Dental, and Colony dental. These offices comprise the largest group practice in the area serving more than 6000 patients. Recently he has been a visiting faculty member of the Department of Operative Dentistry at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. The doctor is a member of the Lake County Dental Society, The Central District Dental Society, The American Dental Association, and The Academy of General Dentistry.
