Q: What is a dental emergency?
A: A dental emergency involves pain, and or infection.  After hours visits are reserved for treatment that can not wait to be treated.

Q: I broke a tooth or lost a crown but I do not have any pain.  What should I do?
A: While a broken tooth, lost filling, or unseated crown may not result in dental pain it should be attended to by a dentist.  Often minor symptoms are the result of more significant problems and it is advised that you should seek care.  Until you can schedule an appointment it is best to not use the tooth to chew.  In addition many pharmacies have temporary materials for short term use.
